We've put together some of the most common questions our customers ask.
If you don't see what you're after, click the button below and get in touch. We're always happy to help.
What type of tyres do you work on?
Pretty much anything with wheels.
We work on cars, 4WDs, utes, trailers, bikes, loaders, tractors, quarry gear, and even wheelbarrows.
If it rolls, we can fit it, fix it, or find the right type of tyre.
Do you sell both new and used tyres?
Yes, we stock a wide range of new tyres for all budgets and vehicle types, and also offer quality used tyres that are fully safety-checked and balanced before fitting.
How do I know what size tyres I need?
The easiest way is to check the sidewall of your current tyre. You'll see a combination of numbers and letters, such as 205/55R16. These tell us the tyre width, profile, and rim size.
If you're not sure, give us a call or pop into the workshop. We can quickly check your tyres for you and make sure you get the right fit for your vehicle.
What is a vulcanised repair?
Vulcanising is a repair process in which we add new raw rubber to the damaged area of a tyre, then heat and bond it to create a strong, long-lasting repair.
It's the best option when a puncture repair isn't enough and costs much less than buying a new tyre.
Can you come to me for tyre repairs?
Yes. For bigger vehicles and equipment, such as tractors, loaders, or quarry machinery, we can travel to your site anywhere in the Waikato.
Our mobile tyre service means we can handle larger repairs without you needing to transport your vehicle.
How often should I get a wheel alignment?
We recommend getting a wheel alignment every 10,000 km or after replacing your tyres.
It helps your tyres wear evenly, improves handling, and saves you money in the long run.
Do you repair punctures?
Absolutely. Most punctures can be repaired while you wait.
We'll inspect the tyre, fix the damage, and get you back on the road safely.
How long will it take to replace my tyres?
It depends on the vehicle and how many tyres your replacing, bust most standard car or ute tyre replacements are done the same day.
Do you balance tyres as well?
Yes. Every tyre we fit, whether new or used, is balanced to make sure your ride is smooth and safe.
Do you offer trailer tyres?
We sure do. We stock a range of trailer tyres for boats, caravans, and work trailers.
If you're not sure what you need, we can help you find the right size and load rating.
Can you help with farm or heavy machinery tyres?
Yes. We handle all types of agricultural and industrial tyres, and we can travel to your site to fit or repair them.
Do you do tyre rotations?
Yes, we can rotate your tyres to help them wear evenly and last longer.
It's a good idea to rotate your tyres every 10,000 km, or whenever you get your tyres balanced or aligned.
Do you give tyre advice or quotes?
Of course. We're always happy to give advice on tyre brands, sizes, and what's best for your vehicle.
Call us or pop into the workshop for a free, no-obligation quote.
